Date Night

Last Friday night, Clint and I decided to take time out for ourselves, something we rarely do.  So, we went to dinner and go to the Detroit Institute of Arts.  On Friday nights, the DIA is open till 10 with events for kids and families.  When I was in college, I use to go to the DIA very often and draw in the galleries.  I really missed that.

We saw famous artists' works such as Andy Warhol

As well as Picasso, Degas, Monet, and Van gogh.  We spent most of our time in the contemporary gallery, my fave.

At one point, we got a little silly...

Can you tell which one is Clint?

All in all, it was a great way to spend a Friday night!  Date night will start happening more often now!

I will end this post with two of my favorite pieces at the DIA...

Give me more ideas for our next date night!  We would love suggestions.

JEGs and I make a point to take a walk together once a week. We don't talk about work, or bills, or the wedding or anything like that. We just talk and enjoy each others company.

oh, and holding hands is a must ;)

GREAT idea! I love the taking a walk idea!! We try to walk our doggies once a week, but I think we just forget to make time for it. I think now I will make the time.

how fun! We definitely don't do this enough and we don't take advantage of living so close to the city. Must do!
